National Activities

Include National Days where groups from around the country gather to meditate, sing, engage in selfless service, practice yoga together and attend workshops by visiting Amma representatives

International Activities

There are a wealth of online activities taking place these days, from online Saturday Satsangs with Amma, to the Amrita Virtual Academy, to talks, yoga classes and silent retreats that we can all enjoy from our own homes

Amma Ireland is part of the Embracing the Worldยฎ global network of humanitarian organisations inspired by Amma. Amma teaches that everyone โ€“ rich or poor โ€“ has the power to make a difference in the life of another and that no selfless gesture is insignificant. Rather, it is the selfless actions we perform for one another that hold the keys to true peace โ€“ peace in the individual, peace in the community and peace among diverse cultures, nations and faiths.

Through her extraordinary acts of love, inner strength and self-sacrifice, Amma has inspired charity projects in more than 40 countries. There are many people in Ireland who feel inspired by Ammaโ€™s example to share their time, energy and resources to help those In need โ€“ both across the globe and in their own communities.

Spiritual Focus

Daily, weekly and monthly events organised by satsang groups in their local areas and nationally, focused on meditation, chanting, yoga, silent retreats and time in nature

Environmental Focus

Amma places huge importance on respect for nature. This is realised in our woodlands projects, our organic vegetable growing courses, seed saving and community clean-ups

Social Services Focus

Amma invites us all to participate in selfless service for the upliftment of others.ย  Fundraising projects are run regularly to support Embracing the World projects.

Amma's Representatives

Amma visits Ireland every two years and representatives of Amma visit us several times a year bringing Ammaโ€™s message to us through talks and satsangs
